In our pursuit to put into realization the DTI’s mission to empower and protect the interests of consumers, the Department of Trade and Industry has been conducting regular product standards monitoring activities in the Province to ensure that establishments are compliant to existing products standard laws.
The main purpose of monitoring is to validate whether products under DTI mandatory certification offered for sale by business establishments have a valid Product Standard (PS) mark and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) sticker.
PS Mark is for products certified thru the PS Licensing Scheme for locally manufactured products under DTI’s mandatory certification.
Under the expanded PS Scheme, foreign manufacturer which had sufficiently complied with the requirements of DAO 4:2008 or DAO 17-06:2017 is issued with the PS License and allowed to affix the PS mark on its product. Products that bear these markings signify that the product went through the quality requirements of the BPS.
ICC Mark is for products certified thru the ICC Certification Scheme for foreign manufactured products under the DTI’s mandatory certification. To verify whether the ICC sticker is valid or not, download the ICC verification system. Available for both android and IOS devices.
The ICC stickers are for imported products that went thru the ICC certification process.
