JUANA MAKE A MARK PROGRAM

Juana Make a Mark is a trademark registration incentive program that allows the eligible Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to have their trademarks registered at a reduced cost. Through this program, IPOPHL aims to instill the ‘first-mover filing’ mindset amongst MSMEs –that is, to file for trademark registration before establishing a business to ensure availability of and secure exclusivity over the mark before the enterprise incurs expenses related to promoting its goods or services such as for packaging and marketing.

JUANA FOR THE WORLD PROGRAM

The Juan for the World program aims to help Philippine MSMEs’ advance globally by protecting their trademarks under the Madrid Protocol — the international filing system for trademarks. But with the greater goal of seeing Filipinos advance globally, and realizing the robust support they will need, the JFTW Program will also tap private and public sector partners to provide them with adequate financial and technical business assistance, making this program the ultimate incentive package to promote MSMEs’ global expansion through trademarks.

JUANA PATENT & JUANA DESIGN PROTECTION PROGRAM

The JUANA PATENT and JUANA DESIGN PROTECTION (JPIP) is an incentive program that advances government’s initiative to boost women, MSME and startup innovativeness and competitiveness. The program will will waive certain fees in favor of 50 inventions, 150 utility models and 150 industrial designs that are qualified

YOUTH INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Youth Intellectual Property Incentive (YIPI) Program is an incentive program that will support and encourage young creators to build a more progressive and inclusive future in the Philippines’ innovation landscape. Through the YIPI Program, youth inventors, designers and entrepreneurs can enjoy the waiving of certain fees, technical consultations and capacity buildings when they file their applications. This Program is part of the innovation strategy of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to tap the talent and ingenuity of the youth to provide relevant and practical solutions to address the challenges faced by Filipino society today.
