In line with its mandate to protect consumer interests and promote general welfare, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Consumer Protection Division, actively conducts consumer advocacy initiatives. These efforts aim to reach the widest possible range of consumers, equipping them with essential information about consumerism such as consumer rights and responsibilities.
To make consumer education more accessible, DTI-Cavite regularly holds face-to-face advocacy initiatives, including seminars, forums, and on-site campaigns. These activities provide firsthand guidance, allowing consumers to engage directly, ask questions, and gain practical insights into fair and transparent trade practices.
At the same time, DTI-Cavite leverages digital platforms to extend its reach. As more consumers rely on online transactions and digital learning, DTI-Cavite utilizes multimedia tools, social media, and digital campaigns to efficiently spread awareness and ensure that consumer protection information remains readily available.
By combining in-person programs with digital outreach, DTI-Cavite reinforces its commitment to consumer empowerment, ensuring that everyone—whether engaging online or offline—are well-informed, empowered, and protected in their daily transactions.
