The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cavite successfully conducted the Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) Seminar under the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) on July 20, 21, and 23, 2026 at the Strike Multi-Purpose Hall, 3rd Floor, Bacoor Government Center, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Bacoor City through its Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO).
The three-day program brought together graduate students, students from various colleges and universities in Bacoor City, and selected young entrepreneurs to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to pursue entrepreneurship.
During the first two days, DTI Cavite facilitators conducted interactive sessions on business fundamentals, entrepreneurial mindset, and the interactive Business, Expense, Savings, and Training (BEST) Game, equipping participants with essential entrepreneurial and financial management skills.
On July 23, participants showcased their learnings through a Business Pitching Competition, presenting innovative business concepts developed during the seminar before a panel of evaluators.
The winning teams were formally recognized during the Flag Raising Ceremony on July 27, 2026, led by Bacoor City Mayor Strike B. Revilla, where they received their awards in the presence of DTI representatives, led by Provincial Director Lilibeth R.
Chavez, PCCI Bacoor officers and LEDIPO personnel.
The awarding ceremony celebrated the participants’ outstanding business ideas and encouraged more young individuals to pursue entrepreneurship as a pathway to innovation and economic development.
Through the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, DTI Cavite continues to empower the youth by providing opportunities to develop entrepreneurial competencies, transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures, and contribute to the sustainable economic growth of their communities.
